So on Saturday I had a monumental ride. All of my rides so far have been near my home, or with the team out of the shop. This week's ride got canceled for "predicted rain" but we didn't know that, so my dad had driven me and my training friend across the city to do the early ride. We then found out it was canceled, so one of us had the idea to ride back across the city to get home and to get our long ride in for the week.
Colin, my training friend, and I rode down General Booth Blvd. (no rain) down the boardwalk (light showers) and back up Shore Dr. (cue rain) towards home. We went at a faster pace then our normal group ride, and I really enjoyed it.
That's all, just a short story. I found it fun because I wasn't riding in a circle, or constantly passing stopping points, I was riding to get somewhere.
